My background is an interdisciplinary mix of approaches to the built environment, bridging architecture, geography, spatial data science and sociology during my undergraduate degree in Architectural and Interdisciplinary Studies and a Masters in Space Syntax from UCL.
Following my education, I have gained valuable experience applying spatial analytics and GIS in the delivery of large-scale master planning projects in the Middle East and elsewhere. I am keen on utilizing the theories of organic settlement and methods of spatial network analysis to make sense of diverse cities particularly in data-sparse contexts. Additionally, synthesizing spatial datasets to reveal and support key insights, finding novel ways to employ generative, data-informed design, and generally working flexibly across different domains to understand and convey the influence of urbanism and planning on human behaviour and experience.
