I feel very lucky to have worked on many fantastic projects over the last few decades. There is an undeniable pleasure to be had from being part of a great team delivering a complex project. The process is seldom simple; tenacity and commitment is a given, optimism is essential.
As a Masterplanner from a landscape architecture background, leading teams, crafting visions, and advocating for the ambitions of clients and communities is what I enjoy. To be involved in the creation of new city quarters and the shaping of new communities, ensuring the protection of great landscapes and the planning of place is a huge privilege. Whilst remaining acutely aware of our social, cultural, civic, economic and environmental responsibilities wherever we are engaged around the world.
Setting up the Practice in 2017, transitioning to an Employee Owned Trust in 2023, and bringing together and extraordinary group of committed professionals has given us the platform for instilling those values into our projects, a forum for mentoring our teams, and delivering outcomes that we can be proud of.
I’m always excited by the potential that projects hold, and the knowledge and experience to be gained. Collaboration with partners outside of the practice is essential to our work, not least in our engagement with communities and across cultures. I hugely enjoy the skills and knowledge transfer that takes place.
Climate change has long been an issue we take very seriously. It will be the defining challenge of the coming decades and will inform the work we take on and the partners we work with.
