With five years’ experience on a range of project scales, geographies, and scopes, as well as training and working in both design and planning, I understand the importance of defining a clear and shared direction on complex projects. For this, I am particularly good at building a narrative; bringing together many strands and explaining how they converge to create a meaningful and grounded proposition.
On the Thamesmead Waterfront Strategic Masterplan, this was critical in working with a large multidisciplinary team and in a technically and socio-politically complex context. The narrative-building approach opened up the design process more widely and transparently, and helped communicate the potential and value the impact of a strategically important project to stakeholders and the wider community.
