Prior + Partners is seeking a forward-thinking ‘GIS Analyst and Developer’ who excels at combining spatial data expertise with tool development. In this London-based role, you will create maps and data visualisations, integrate geospatial data into interactive web applications, create actionable business dashboards, and automate complex data workflows. Your work will support strategic decisions by transforming raw data into clear, visual insights that drive business outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities:
Geospatial Analysis & Mapping
> Data Organisation & Analysis: Collate, organise and analyse spatial data using GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS);
> Digital Mapping: Create and maintain high-quality digital maps, ensuring data accuracy and consistency;
> Spatial Modelling: Apply statistical and spatial analysis techniques to uncover patterns and trends that influence business strategies;
> Database Management: Oversee the design and maintenance of robust geospatial and non-spatial databases (SQL, NoSQL), ensuring data integrity, security, and performance;
> Data Quality: Implement data cleaning, validation, and transformation processes to ensure high-quality inputs for analysis;
> Data Visualisation: Transform complex datasets into clear, visually compelling charts and graphs to support real-time monitoring and decision-making.
Dashboard Development
> Dashboard Creation: Develop business intelligence dashboards using platforms like Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent tools.
Automation & Scripting
> Automation & Scripting: Develop code for automating processes and performing data processing, analyses and visualisation.
Collaboration & Communication
> Cross-functional Engagement: Work closely with spatial analytics, planning, masterplanning and economics teams to gather requirements, share insights, and refine processes;
> Technical Reporting: Translate technical findings into clear reports and presentations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
> Innovation & Learning: Keep abreast of emerging technologies and methodologies to continuously improve GIS and web development practices;
> Agile Methodologies: Experience working in an agile development environment to quickly iterate on projects and respond to evolving business needs.
Essential Skills:
> GIS Platforms: ArcGIS, QGIS, or equivalent;
> BI Tools: Power BI, Tableau, or similar dashboard software;
> Programming Languages: Python, SQL;
> Database Software: PostgreSQL/PostGIS.
Preferable Skills:
> Bespoke Web Map Creation: Design and develop custom web GIS applications that display tailored, interactive maps integrated with dynamic graphs and charts;
> Cloud Computing: Experience with cloud-based GIS platforms (e.g., Esri’s ArcGIS Online, Amazon Web Services, or Azure) for hosting and managing spatial data;
> API Integration: Familiarity with APIs for integrating third-party data sources and services;
> Advanced Analytics: Basic knowledge of machine learning techniques for spatial data and predictive analytics.
