Prior + Partners is a specialist placemaking practice integrating masterplanning, planning and economics to unlock the potential of places and communities

Our portfolio includes major urban regeneration projects as well as new settlements for UK clients including The Crown Estate, Homes England, and Lendlease, as well as many Local Authorities including in London, Birmingham, Southampton and Bristol.  Internationally, our work includes supporting the Royal Commission of AlUla Saudi Arabia in the articulation and implementation of their strategic vision, regional development framework, and detailed masterplans, to our ambitious 468 ha innovation district masterplan for Google at Moffett Park in California, and the Kingdom of Bhutan in developing their vision and structure plan for the capital city of Bhutan.

In line with our portfolio, we have immediate opportunities for economic consultants with an interest in strategic planning, placemaking, and regeneration projects and can demonstrate a commitment to shaping successful places and communities to the highest standard. Your workload will include a range in scales, from major regional strategies and frameworks to site level masterplans and development strategies.

We’re looking for:

We are looking for candidates who bring experience in the following areas:

 

  • Economic analysis to shape strategic planning and masterplanning;
  • Economic and inclusive growth strategy;
  • Economic development around rail, ports, and infrastructure, including strategic corridors, special economic zones, and transit-oriented development;
  • Case-making, impact assessment, and social value strategy;
  • Economic advisory to support decision-making, including socio-economic profiling, benchmarking and multi-criteria analysis;
  • These positions will suit quantitatively confident candidates with excellent written and verbal communication skills, who are able to work flexibly across multiple projects with a degree of autonomy.

The ideal candidate will also have:

  • We are particularly interested in candidates with experience and interest in delivering projects internationally, including in the Middle East;
  • Effective project management skills;
  • Experience in preparing high-quality bid material.
